Mega JS-Level Rejig: IAS Officer Hardik S. Shah Appointed Private Secretary To The Prime Minister

In an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), it was said that “The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the appointments of officers at Joint Secretary/Joint Secretary-equivalent level with pay at Level 14 of the Pay Matrix.”

Among the key postings, Dr Hardik Satishchandra Shah was appointed as the Private Secretary to the Prime Minister (Joint Secretary-level) in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, on a co-terminus basis or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Other key postings include that of KAPIL MEENA, who has been made Managing Director, National Horticulture Board (NHB), Department of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare. He will replace B. Srinivas (lAS: KL: 1991).

G. Venkatesh (lCoAS, 1997) has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, replacing Deepak Mishra (IFoS, 1996).

Priyanka Das has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation, replacing Shobhit Gupta (IRSEE, 2000).

Jawahar P. has been appointed as the Chairman (JS level), Marine Products Exports Development Authority (MPEDA), Department of Commerce, in place of Dodda Venkata Swamy.

PREETI MEENA has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Department of Defence, in place of Mayank Tewari (IRSME, 1993).

Shailesh Kumar Chourasia has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Defence, in place of Rakesh Mittal (IDES, 1995). Vinod Kumar (IRSME, 1998) has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Department of Defence, replacing Dharmendra Kumar Singh (IA&AS, 2000).

Ajeet Kumar Srivastava (IRAS, 1999) has been appointed as the Additional Financial Advisor (Joint Secretary-level), replacing Vedveer Arya (IDAS, 1997).

Vipul Aggarwal (IPS, 2001) has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, replacing Shantanu.

Sakshi Mittal has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs. LAYA MADDURI has been appointed as the Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs for a combined tenure of five years (up to 03/04/2030), or until further orders, whichever is earlier, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post by temporarily upgrading the post held by the officer from DS/Director-level to JS-level in the Department for an initial period of two years.

VIKAS SINGH has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. Girish Chandrashekhar Hosur (IFoS: HP: 1996) has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.

Chaudhari Uday Gaurishankar (lAS: MH: 2010) has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change.

Bandana Preyashi has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Department of Fertilizers, in place of Aneeta C. Meshram.

Venkata Nagi Reddy Kovvuri (IDES, 1998) has been appointed as the Executive Director (General), Food Corporation of India (FCI), Department of Food & Public Distribution, replacing Sachindra Kumar Patnai (IRSS, 1997).

Muthukumar Alagumuthu (lAS: JH: 2009) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Health & Family Welfare, replacing Ankita Mishra Bundela.

Prabhakar (lAS: SK: 2007) has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Department of Health & Family Welfare, replacing Vijay Nehra.

Mahatme Sandeep Namdeo has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, replacing Lokhande Prashant Sitaram. 

Rakesh Rathi (IPS: BH: 2002) has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs.

KARMA R BONPO has been appointed as the Director of Census Operations (DCO) and the Director of Citizen Registration (DCR) (JS level), Sikkim, under the Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India, Ministry of Home Affairs.

S. Tejaswi Naik (lAS: MP: 2009) has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Labour & Employment. Shakil Alam (ES, 2001) has been appointed as Addl. CPFC (Hq), the Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Ministry of Labour & Employment, replacing Bhaskar Choradia (lRAS, 2000).

Parikipandla Narahari has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Department of Land Resources, replacing Kunal Satyarthi (lFoS: HP: 1997).

Ramesha G. (IRS (IT), 2005) has been appointed as the In-Charge (JS level) in the Central Agency Section of the Department of Legal Affairs, in place of Reeta Vasishta, lLS.

Kulveer Singh Yadav (IOFS, 2002) has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Mines, replacing Dinesh Mahur (ITS, 1992). Mohammad Afzal (CPES, 1995) has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Minority Affairs, replacing Shersha, CSS.

Anupam Kumar has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, replacing Sanjay Chilwarwar (IRSSE, 1997).

Pradeep Singh (IFoS: GJ: 2005) has been appointed as the Adviser (JS-level) in NITI Aayog, replacing Jayant Singh (lRTS, 1993).

Shanmuga Priya Mishra has been appointed as Joint Director (JS-level) at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) under the Department of Personnel & Training. Ganesh Shankar Mishra has been appointed as the Joint Director (JS level) at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) under the Department of Personnel & Training, replacing Udit Agrawal.

Harmit Singh Pahuja has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Department of Personnel & Training. Venkatesapathy S has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, & Waterways.

PRAVEEN P NAIR has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, & Waterways, replacing R Lakshmanan.

Pankaj Kumar (lAS: UP: 2002) has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Power, in place of Mohammad Afzal (CPES, 1995).

Dr. Kajal . has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Department of Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade, replacing Dr Sandhya Bhullar.

Shankar Lal Kumawat has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Department of Revenue under the Ministry of Finance, replacing Naval Kishore Ram, and by cancelling the appointment of Shailesh Bagauli (through an ACC order dated 31.12.2025).

Udit Agrawal has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, replacing Vinay Kumar.

Sanjay Chilwarwar (IRSSE, 1997) has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, replacing Latha Ganapathy (lAS: TN: 2007).

Saravanan M has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Department of Space. K. Balaji (lAS: UP: 2010) has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Department of Telecommunications, in place of Sunil Kumar Verma (IRSSE, 1995).

Alaknanda Dayal has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Textiles, replacing Ajay Gupta (IRSS, 1993).
