Shantanu, born on 27 August 1972, is a 1997 batch IAS officer of the Tripura cadre. He holds a B.E. in Civil Engineering from the University of Roorkee and an M.Sc. Currently, he serves as Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDONER) in Delhi since 26 August 2025. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Joint Secretary, Secretary, Director, Deputy Secretary, Mission Director, District Collector and District Magistrate, Project Director, Sub Divisional Officer, and Assistant Collector. He is proficient in English and Hindi and continues to be in service.
