Shankar Lal Kumawat, born on June 7, 1980, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2010 Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds a B.Sc. and M.A. from Rajasthan University, Jaipur. Currently, he serves as the Additional Commissioner (Health) at Greater Chennai Corporation since January 1, 2023. His previous roles include Sub Collector, Assistant Collector, Director, Additional Secretary to Government, Joint Commissioner, District Collector and Magistrate, Additional Managing Director, Additional Mission Director, Joint Secretary, and Secretary. He received the State Level Annual Award 2021-22 for Best Performing District Collector in Health and Family Welfare. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Tamil.
