Jagada Nanda Panda, born on September 6, 1955, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 Odisha cadre. He holds postgraduate and graduate degrees in Political Science and a Certificate in Hindi. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Special Relief Commissioner, Revenue Divisional Commissioner, District Magistrate, and Additional District Magistrate. His most recent role was Protector of Emigrants, Joint Secretary Equivalent in the Department of Overseas Indian Affairs from October 4, 2006, to July 31, 2009. Mr. Panda’s extensive experience spans multiple administrative and leadership positions within the government.
