Adapa Karthik, born on November 6, 1979, is a 2008 batch IAS officer of the Punjab cadre. He holds an M.B.B.S. from Nagpur University, a Master of Public Health in Health Policy from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and a Master’s in Public Policy from Indira Gandhi National Open University. Currently, he serves as the Regional Adviser for Digital Health at the World Health Organization in New Delhi since January 2, 2024. His past roles include Joint Secretary, Special Secretary, Director, Secretary, Under Secretary, Additional Secretary, and Sub-Divisional Magistrate. He is a recipient of the Fulbright Master’s scholarship and speaks English and Telugu.
