The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of six 1995-batch IPS officers to senior positions in the CRPF, BSF, CISF and Intelligence Bureau (IB). The appointments were approved on the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Five officers have been appointed Special Director General (Level-16), while one has been appointed Special Director, IB.
Sandeep Khirwar, IPS (HY:1995), currently ADG, CRPF, has been appointed Special Director General, CRPF. His tenure will continue until his superannuation on May 31, 2033, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Rajesh Kumar, IPS (AGMUT:1995), ADG, CRPF, has also been appointed Special Director General, CRPF, on an ‘in-situ’ basis for two years.
Puneet Rastogi, IPS (TR:1995), ADG, BSF, has been appointed Special Director General, BSF, with tenure up to his superannuation on June 30, 2030, or until further orders. Satish Shriramaji Khandare, IPS (AGMUT:1995), ADG, BSF, has also been appointed Special DG, BSF, with tenure up to June 30, 2031, or until further orders.
Padmakar S. Ranipse, IPS (OD:1995), ADG, CISF, has been appointed Special Director General, CISF on an ‘in-situ’ basis by temporarily upgrading the post held by him. He will hold the position until his superannuation on May 31, 2028, or until further orders. Meanwhile, Jag Mohan, IPS (BH:1995), Additional Director, Intelligence Bureau, has been appointed Special Director, IB, with tenure up to his superannuation on June 30, 2031, or until further orders.
