Dr. S A Golakia, born on January 1, 1954, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1992 batch of the Gujarat cadre. He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy and a postgraduate degree. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Commissioner, Secretary, Director, District Collector, District Development Officer, and Municipal Commissioner. His most recent position was Secretary at Ahmedabad, Gujarat, in the Revenue Department from June 8, 2012, to December 31, 2013. Dr. Golakia's extensive service reflects his commitment to administrative roles within the Gujarat government.
