P Marapandiyan, born on 12 May 1957, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1984 Kerala cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Biology and a postgraduate degree in Philosophy. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Assistant Collector, Sub Collector, Project Officer, General Manager, Managing Director, District Collector, Secretary, Principal Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary, Executive Vice President, Chairman, and General Manager. His most recent position was Chief Secretary to the Government in the Fisheries Department from 24 November 2015 to 31 May 2017.
