He held various key positions throughout his career, including Director General, Principal Secretary, Secretary, Commissioner, General Manager, Deputy Secretary, District Collector, CEO, and Assistant Collector. His most recent designation was Secretary at Maharashtra in the Department of Home Affairs. Lakhanpal holds a postgraduate degree and a graduate degree in English. His extensive service in the Indian Administrative Service reflects a diverse administrative experience across multiple roles within the Maharashtra cadre.
