Meeta R Lochan, born on 02 August 1966, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1990 Maharashtra cadre. She holds a B.A. and M.A. in English Literature and an M.A. in History from Punjab University, Chandigarh. Currently, she serves as Secretary in the National Commission for Backward Classes under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment since 18 April 2025. Her previous roles include Member Secretary, Additional Director General of Foreign Trade, Project Director, Principal Secretary to Government, Director, Managing Director, Controller, Deputy Director, District Collector, Chief Executive Officer, Additional Commissioner, Project Officer, Sub Divisional Magistrate, and Assistant Commissioner. She is proficient in English and Hindi.
