M. Sankaranarayanan, born on 30 June 1977, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2003 Maharashtra cadre. He holds a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Bombay and an M.Tech. in Energy Studies from IIT Delhi. Currently, he serves as Joint Secretary at the Department of Atomic Energy in Mumbai since 23 April 2024. His previous roles include Director, Internal F A; Commissioner-cum-Director; Commissioner; Deputy Secretary; District Collector; Chief Executive Officer; and Assistant Collector. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Tamil and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
