K Sanjay Murthy, born on 24 December 1964, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1989 batch, Himachal Pradesh cadre. Currently serving as the Comptroller and Auditor General of India at New Delhi since 21 November 2024, he has held various positions including Secretary, Chief Executive Officer, Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary, Principal Secretary, Resident Commissioner, Managing Director, Director, Vice President, Private Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Deputy Commissioner, Additional Director, and Additional Deputy Commissioner. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering and is proficient in English, Hindi, and Telugu. He continues to serve in the Government of India.
