Jitendra Shankar Mathur, born on 19 January 1958, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1982 Madhya Pradesh cadre. He holds graduate and postgraduate degrees in History. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Secretary at Madhya Pradesh from 25 April 2016 to 31 January 2018, Special Secretary, Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary, Chief Election Officer, Commissioner, Managing Director, Director, District Collector, Deputy Secretary, Additional Collector, Project Officer, and Sub-Divisional Officer. His last known department was the Department of Panchayati Raj.
