Chander Gaind, born on 27 November 1964, is a 2004 batch IAS officer of the Punjab cadre. He holds an LL.B. from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, and a B.Sc. from Punjab University, Chandigarh. Currently serving as Secretary in the Water Resources Department since 5 December 2023, he has held various positions including Divisional Commissioner, Secretary to Government, Deputy Commissioner, Special Secretary, and Junior Scale. Mr. Gaind continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service, contributing to the governance and administration of Punjab.
