Anand Kumar, born on 11 August 1961, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1984 Kerala cadre. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Zoology, an M.B.A. in Business Administration, and an M.Phil. in Zoology. During his career, he served in various capacities including Secretary, Managing Director, Joint Secretary, Resident Commissioner, Deputy Election Commissioner, District Collector, and Sub Collector. His most recent position was Secretary in the Social Justice and Empowerment Department from October 2020 to August 2021. He has received awards from the Government of India, SKOCH Group, Ministry of External Affairs, and the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration
