Amita Paul, born on 26 November 1956, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1980 Bihar cadre. She holds graduate degrees in English and English Literature, along with a postgraduate degree in Public Administration. Over her career, she served in various capacities including Commissioner, Divisional Commissioner, Principal Secretary, Director General, District Collector and Magistrate, Joint Secretary, and Additional Secretary. Her most recent role was Commissioner in the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department from April to November 2016. Throughout her service, she contributed to multiple administrative and developmental functions across different levels of government.
