Amit Jha, born on 30 June 1962, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1987 Haryana cadre. He holds a graduate degree in History, a postgraduate degree in History, and a postgraduate degree in Public Policy from Princeton University. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Principal Secretary to Government, Special Secretary, Transport Commissioner, Labour Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, and Joint Secretary among others. His most recent position was Additional Chief Secretary to Government in the Science and Technology Department, commencing on 10 December 2018.
