Sumita Dawra, born on 21 March 1965, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1991 batch, Andhra Pradesh cadre. She holds a B.A. from Guru Nanak Dev University, an M.A. from Punjab University, and an M.B.A. from Birmingham University. Currently, she serves as Secretary in the Department of Labour and Employment, Ministry of Labour and Employment, New Delhi (since 29 February 2024). Her past roles include Officer on Special Duty, Special Secretary, Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary, Principal Secretary, Counsellor, Director, Managing Director, Joint Commissioner of Commercial Taxes (Intelligence), Vice Chairman and Managing Director, District Collector and Magistrate, Project Director, Chief Executive Officer
