Santosh Kumar Sarangi, born on July 1, 1970, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1994 Odisha cadre. Currently serving as Secretary in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy since April 18, 2025, he holds an M.Phil. in Political Science and an M.I.D.P. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Additional Secretary, Principal Secretary, Joint Secretary, Chairman, Managing Director, Commissioner & Secretary, Director General of the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, and District Collector and District Magistrate. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Oriya and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
