Pongumatla Bharathi, born on 17 March 1974, is a 2005 batch IAS officer of the Gujarat cadre. She holds a B.E. in Computer Science from Bharathidasan University, an M.A. in Public Policy, and an LL.B. Currently, she serves as Secretary in the Science and Technology Department, Gujarat, since 3 August 2025. Her previous roles include Assistant Collector, District Development Officer, Special Commissioner, Chief Electoral Officer, District Collector and Magistrate, Deputy Municipal Commissioner, Project Director, and Director. She has received awards for Best District Collector and Best Electoral Practices as District Election Officer in Vadodara. She is proficient in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.
