Panicker Harishanker, born on September 2, 1988, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2013 batch, West Bengal cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in Development Studies from IIT Madras, Chennai. Currently, he serves as the District Magistrate of Darjeeling since March 19, 2026. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Additional District Magistrate, Officer on Special Duty, Assistant Secretary, Special Secretary, Sub Divisional Officer, and Joint Chief Electoral Officer. Proficient in English, Malayalam, and Bengali, Panicker Harishanker continues to contribute to public administration in West Bengal.
