Nitishwar Kumar, born on 28 August 1971, is a 1996 batch Indian Administrative Service officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds an M.Sc. in Public Management & Governance from the London School of Economics & Political Science and has a background in economics. Currently, he serves as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Department of Women and Child Development, Ministry of Women and Child Development, New Delhi (since October 2022). His extensive career includes roles such as Managing Director, Principal Secretary, Chief Executive Officer, Secretary, Special Secretary, District Magistrate, and Private Secretary to Minister of State. He is proficient in English and Hindi.
