Malay Kumar D E, born on 22 September 1959, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1985 batch, West Bengal cadre. He holds graduate and postgraduate degrees in Chemistry. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Chairman and Managing Director, Director, Chief Executive Officer, Joint Secretary, District Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate, Sub Divisional Officer, and Additional Secretary. His most recent designation was Additional Chief Secretary in the Hill Area Development Project, effective from 30 December 2015.
