Choten Dhendup Lama, born on 30 December 1972, is a 1999 batch IAS officer of the West Bengal cadre. She holds a B.A. and an LL.B. Currently, she serves as the Principal Secretary in the Tribal Development Department since 2 June 2022. Throughout her career, she has held various positions including Executive Magistrate, Secretary, Mission Director, Commissioner, State Project Director, Joint Secretary, Director, District Magistrate, Consultant, Managing Director, Additional District Magistrate, and Sub Divisional Officer. She is proficient in English, Hindi, and Nepalese. Ms. Lama continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
