B Anand, born on 27 August 1962, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1987 Tamil Nadu cadre. He served as Secretary in the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare from July 2021 to August 2022. His educational qualifications include a Graduate and Postgraduate degree in English and a Certificate in Public Policy from Syracuse University. Throughout his career, he held various positions such as Secretary Equivalent, Additional Secretary, Financial Advisor, Joint Secretary, Principal Secretary, Commissioner, Resident Commissioner, District Collector, and Project Officer, among others, demonstrating extensive administrative experience across multiple roles and departments.
