Yunus, an IAS officer of the 2010 batch from the Himachal Pradesh cadre, was born on November 6, 1978. He holds a B.Sc. from Punjab University, Chandigarh, an M.Sc. from Jamia Millia Islamia, and a PG Diploma from Kurukshetra University, Haryana. Currently, he serves as Director at the Industries Department, Himachal Pradesh, since October 9, 2024. His previous roles include Commissioner of State Tax, Deputy Commissioner, Special Secretary, ADC, Assistant Commissioner, BDO, Director, and SDO. Yunus is proficient in English, Hindi, and Punjabi. He continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
