Y S Bhave, born on 16 July 1949, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1972 Maharashtra cadre. He holds graduate and postgraduate degrees in Physics and a postgraduate degree in Public Administration from the USA. Throughout his career, Bhave served in various capacities including Assistant Collector, Deputy Secretary, District Collector, CEO, Deputy CEO, Managing Director, Development Commissioner, Joint Secretary, Additional Secretary, Special Secretary, and Secretary. His most recent designation was Secretary at Maharashtra in the Department of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.
