Y D Thongchi, born on October 6, 1950, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1992 batch, AGMUT cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in Assamese. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Assistant Commissioner, Under Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Additional Deputy Commissioner, and Secretary. His most recent position was Director, held from May 2, 2008, to October 31, 2010.
