Waseem Akhtar, born on 24 May 1950, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1987 batch, Madhya Pradesh cadre. Throughout his career, he held various key positions including Secretary, Commissioner, Managing Director, and multiple tenures as District Collector. His most recent appointment was as Commissioner in the Urban Development and Housing Department of Madhya Pradesh from 15 May 2008 to 31 May 2010. Mr. Akhtar’s extensive service in administrative roles reflects his long-standing commitment to public administration in Madhya Pradesh.
