Vishal Nath Rai, born on August 1, 1951, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1996 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. During his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector and Magistrate, Special Secretary, and District Magistrate. He held the position of District Magistrate from November 23, 2009, to July 31, 2011. His most recent departmental role was with the Land Revenue Department as Director of Census Operations. Throughout his service, Rai contributed to administrative functions within the Uttar Pradesh cadre before retiring from the IAS.
