Vishal Chauhan, born on December 1, 1974, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1998 batch, Sikkim cadre. Currently serving as Member (Admin) at the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, New Delhi (since November 6, 2023), he holds a B.E. in Electrical Engineering, an M.Sc. in Public Policy & Management from King's College London, and a Postgraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from the National Institute of Industrial Engineering. His past roles include Joint Secretary, Principal Secretary to Government, Commissioner-cum Secretary, Managing Director, Divisional Commissioner, and District Collector & Magistrate. He has received state-level appreciation and the L. V. Reddy Memorial Award
