Vipul Bansal, born on July 10, 1977, is a 2005 batch Indian Administrative Service officer of the Karnataka cadre. He holds a B.Com from Delhi University, is a Chartered Accountant from ICAI New Delhi, and has an M.A. from IGNOU Delhi. Currently, he serves as the Commissioner of the Commercial Taxes Department, Karnataka, since April 12, 2024. His previous roles include Private Secretary to Ministers, Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, State Project Director, Deputy Secretary, Assistant Commissioner, and Joint Secretary. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Kannada.
