Vinod Kumar Gupta, born on March 30, 1945, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1986 batch of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds postgraduate degrees in Political Science, Economics, and a PG Diploma in Management. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector and Magistrate, Labour Commissioner, Managing Director, Director, Secretary, Special Secretary, Commissioner, and Regional Controller. His most recent position was as a Member in the Finance Department from March 18, 2004, to March 31, 2005. He has also experienced a period of suspension during his service.
