Vinod Chandra Semwal, born on May 1, 1959, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1985 Madhya Pradesh cadre. He holds a graduate degree in History and a postgraduate degree in Ancient History. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Additional Chief Secretary to the Government, Principal Secretary to the Governor, District Collector, and Managing Director. His most recent position was Additional Chief Secretary in the Jail Department of Madhya Pradesh from January 4, 2018, to April 30, 2019. His extensive service reflects a diverse administrative experience within the Madhya Pradesh government.
