Vikas Shankar Kharage, born on 17 March 1968, is a 1994 batch IAS officer of the Maharashtra cadre. He holds a B.E. from Pune University and an M.A. from the University of Sussex. Currently, he serves as the Additional Chief Secretary at Maharashtra's Revenue Department since 30 July 2025. His extensive career includes roles such as Secretary, Principal Secretary, Additional Municipal Commissioner, Vice Chairman & MD, Commissioner, Mission Director, Director, District Collector, Deputy Secretary, and Chief Executive Officer. He has received several awards, including the COEP Abhimaan, 9th EARTH CARE AWARDS, and the Mahatma Gandhi Peace Award for Communal Harmony.
