Vikas Pratap, born on 15 February 1969, is a 1994 batch IAS officer of the Punjab cadre. He holds a B.E. degree and is proficient in English, Hindi, and Punjabi. Currently, he serves as the Additional Chief Secretary at Punjab in the Social Security, Women and Child Development Department since 20 August 2025. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Assistant Commissioner, Sub-Divisional Officer, Principal Secretary, Secretary, Managing Director, Commissioner, Special Secretary & Director, Joint Secretary, Deputy Commissioner, and Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner. He continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
