Vijay Prakash, born on 18 September 1956, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1981 Bihar cadre. He holds an M.Phil. in Philosophy, a postgraduate degree in Physics, and a graduate degree in Physics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector and Magistrate, Divisional Commissioner, Joint Secretary, Secretary, Principal Secretary, and Managing Director. His most recent position was Agricultural Production Commissioner in the Agriculture Department, commencing on 7 January 2015.
