Vijay Kumar, born on August 3, 1956, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1988 Andhra Pradesh cadre. He holds postgraduate and graduate degrees in Medicine, along with a Diploma in Development Administration. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Managing Director, Principal Secretary, Commissioner & Inspector General, Secretary, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, District Collector and Magistrate, Joint Collector, and Project Director. His most recent role was Principal Secretary of the Minority Welfare Department from June 20, 2016, to August 31, 2016. Vijay Kumar's extensive administrative experience spans multiple leadership positions within the state government.
