Vidya Nand Garg, born on March 19, 1955, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1980 Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds postgraduate and graduate degrees in Physics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector and Magistrate, Joint Secretary, Commissioner, Managing Director, and Special Secretary. His most recent position was Principal Secretary in the IT and Communication Department from July 2, 2013, to March 31, 2015. Mr. Garg’s extensive experience spans multiple administrative roles within the Uttar Pradesh government until his retirement.
