Veerendra Kumar Meena, born on 12 August 1966, is a 1997 batch IAS officer of the Punjab cadre. He holds a graduate degree and an M.A. Currently, he serves as the Principal Secretary to the Government in the Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities Department, Punjab, a position he assumed on 14 October 2023. Throughout his career, he has held various roles including Principal Secretary to Government, Secretary, Commissioner, Special Secretary, Deputy Commissioner, Director, Additional Secretary, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, and Assistant Commissioner. He is proficient in English and Hindi and remains in active service.
