Currently, he holds the position of Special Deputy Commissioner at Bengaluru, Karnataka, a role he has occupied since 30 May 2025. Prior to this, he also served as Special Deputy Commissioner. Dr. Vasanthi Amar is actively serving in the IAS and contributes to the administration of Karnataka state.
