Varinder Kumar Sharma, born on 30 June 1973, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2009 batch, Punjab cadre. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Punjab University, Chandigarh. Currently, he serves as the Secretary of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, Punjab, a position he assumed on 25 February 2025. Previously, he held the role of Managing Director. Fluent in Punjabi, Sharma continues to serve in the IAS, contributing to the administration of Punjab state.
