V Venu, born on 20 August 1964, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1990 Kerala cadre batch. He holds an M.B.B.S. degree and is proficient in Arabic, Assamese, English, Malayalam, and Tamil. Currently serving as the Chief Secretary of Kerala since 27 June 2023, Venu has held multiple key positions including Additional Chief Secretary, Managing Director, Principal Secretary to Government, Secretary, Joint Secretary, Director General, Commissioner, Director, Deputy Director, Deputy Secretary, District Collector, and Assistant Collector. He continues to serve in the IAS with a distinguished administrative career spanning various roles in Kerala.
