V V Singh Vishven, born on July 1, 1955, is a retired IAS officer from the 1980 Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in Political Science, a graduate degree in Physics, and an M.Phil. in International Relations. Over his career, he served in various capacities including Principal Secretary, Secretary, Commissioner, Registrar Director, District Collector and Magistrate, Additional Chief Executive Officer, Special Secretary, General Manager, Joint Director, and Executive Magistrate. His most recent position was Principal Secretary in the Environment, Forests and Wildlife Department from May 30 to July 12, 2009.
