V. Sampath, born on May 11, 1966, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2005 batch, Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds an M.Sc. degree and has served in various capacities, including Special Secretary to Government and District Collector. Currently, he is the Commissioner at Chennai in the Most Backward Classes and Denotified Communities Welfare Department, a position he has held since February 23, 2023. V. Sampath continues to serve in the IAS, contributing to the administration of Tamil Nadu.
