V Ponnuraj, born on 15 May 1973, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2000 batch, Karnataka cadre. He holds a graduate degree from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, and a postgraduate degree from the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. Currently, he serves as Senior Adviser at Manila in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (15 July 2023 to 14 July 2026). His previous roles include Secretary to Government, Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, Joint Secretary to Chief Minister, Managing Director, and Officer on Special Duty to Minister. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Tamil.
