V Palanikumar, born on March 10, 1959, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2001 batch, Tamil Nadu cadre. He served in various capacities including Under Secretary, District Collector Director, Joint Secretary Director, Director, Additional Secretary, and Joint Secretary Director. His most recent position was Special Secretary in the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, from January 30, 2017, to March 31, 2019.
