V P Dubey, born on 13 October 1932, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1982 Punjab cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in Mathematics, a graduate degree in Law, and a Ph.D. in Public Administration. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Secretary, Additional Director, Deputy Secretary, Registrar, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Deputy Director, and Administrator. His most recent position was Joint Secretary in the Department of Home from 1 August 1989 to 1 October 1990. Dubey's extensive service reflects a diverse administrative experience within the Indian government.
