V K Balakrishnan, born on 14 October 1956, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2001 Kerala cadre. During his career, he held various positions including District Collector, Joint Commissioner, Director, Inspector General, Additional Secretary, and Secretary. His most recent role was Labour Commissioner at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, serving from 19 December 2014 to 31 October 2016 in the Labour Department.
