V J Kurian, born on 23 February 1957, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 Kerala cadre. He holds a graduate degree and a postgraduate degree in Economics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector, District Planning Officer, Sub Collector, Managing Director, Chairman, Principal Secretary, and Additional Chief Secretary. His most recent position was Additional Chief Secretary in the Water Resources Department, commencing on 8 June 2016. Mr. Kurian’s extensive service reflects a diverse administrative experience within the Kerala cadre.
